I was thinking about taking regular breaks on my diet like twice a week. I find its better to diet hard and take a break every third day or something. Or diet during the week and relax during sundays and saturday. No binging, but just giving myself a break a few times a week. I have taken this approach before and it has worked. My my wild schedule and nomadic instincts it does get very challenging to establish some sort of consistency in my eating plan. I really do try my best to eat healthy each meal, but sometimes its just impossible.
Like today for example, I cooked three dishes and ate tons of food ( around 3500 to 4000 calories ). It was necessary because there was a special event. And these events last for three or four days. I haven’t really found a way to really stop eating socially when the need arises. One thing that has helped me much though is to stand up as soon as I’m filled up. Sometimes It can be discourteous but it gets a bit lighter when you try to joke about things. Also the best way around this for me I think is to make as much ground possible when its possible to. ie to eat as clean as I can every time I don’t eat socially.
Maybe I should go on a 3-on 1-off or a 5-on-2-off diet schedule. What do you think? Included are my dishes!
