<p>Today I am very positive about the success of this diet in the long run. Just a few more tweaks and a few more disciplinary thoughts and I&#8217;m sure on the way to losing weight.</p>
<p>The past 40 days has been a learning experience for me but it’s been great. I haven&#8217;t lost a ton of weight and I&#8217;m holding a ton of water from my extra high sodium intake but I feel a lot better about my body.</p>
<p>I am able to work well and I feel that I&#8217;m slowly becoming stronger. That is one of the most important feelings that I value in fitness. Feeling strong. I am sure it is all relative but it does feel nice to pick up heavy things and be able to lift them with confidence.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s not to mean I am powerlifting. In fact in the gym I attend I probably belong to the lower 25% percentile when it comes to lifting poundage. But I&#8217;m an old guy not wanting to impress gym goers. I feel old with the company of young men pushing really heavy weights with their buddy spotters.</p>
<p>They remind me of what my friends and I were doing a very long time ago. Ah the cycle of gym life. Perhaps one day I&#8217;ll feel like that old guy that everyone keeps seeing at the gym. Pleasant, happy and wrinkly. <img src='http://halfrice.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' />  But Strong!</p>

<p>Today I did something different, I trained while being sore. I was still sore from my chest workouts but decided to hit gym hard. I was panting and really tried to give it at all at gym today.</p>
<p>Side Effect? I could not stop thinking about a bucket full of fried chicken. And yes, I had to have some. I had 2 Large Fried Chicken Breast a few hours after gym.</p>

<div>I&#8217;ve been training way beyond the recovery abilities of my 33 year old frame. It&#8217;s just been extremely exhausting. I&#8217;m beginning to take 2 to 3 day breaks from the gym. Right after my weight lifting workout I sweat for hours.</div>

<div>During my workouts I try my best. But I think I&#8217;ve shrank due to my relatively intense workouts. I may be just overtraining and my body screams for food all day long. This is why I&#8217;ve went from my usual 2 light meals to 5-meal days.</div>
<div></div>
<div>If I don&#8217;t eat enough I&#8217;d be tired all day long and dizzy. I should cut back on my exercise as well as my food intake. I don&#8217;t want to say 200 pounds fat forever!</div>

<p> Becoming a bit busy to log my thoughts. But I&#8217;ve been re-aligning my goals so far. I was hoping to lose 2 pounds a week but it just doesn&#8217;t seem sustainable after the 4th or 5th week. I&#8217;m hoping to lose 1 pound per week for the entire 2012.</p>
<p>Currently, I guesstimate that I&#8217;m holding about 60 pounds of fat on my 200 pound 30% body fat frame. If I lose 1 pound a week of fat (difficult, improbably but not impossible) that&#8217;s a potential 43 pounds of fat that can be lose for the entire 2012.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m setting my eyes on that goal. I guess this one is at least achievable.</p>
